"Bal Tabarin (above) is not a person, but rather a place. It was a dancehall/cabaret located at Montmartre in Paris. It was owned by Pierre Sandrini, who was the son of the renowned prima ballerina, Emma Sandrini. It's heyday was the 1930's when Erte (Romain de Tirtoff) designed costumes for elaborate floorshows. Erte borrowed themes and highlighting personalities from history."
